juonec4dmodels.poster@blogger.com, Becoming spiritually mature takes cooperating with God. How do we do that? For one, we have to believe God is really working in our lives even when we don’t feel it. Spiritual growth is sometimes tedious work – one small step at a time. So we must expect gradual improvement, because “Everything on earth has its own time and its own season” (Ecclesiastes 3:1 CEV). In fact there are different seasons in your spiritual life. Sometimes you’ll have a short, intense burst of growth (springtime), followed by a period of stabilizing and testing (fall and winter). But what about those hurts, habits, and hang-ups you’d like miraculously removed? Well, it’s fine to pray for a miracle, but don’t be disappointed if the answer comes through a gradual change. Over time, a slow, steady stream of water will erode the hardest rock and turn giant boulders into pebbles. Over time, a little sprout can turn into a giant redwood tree. The important thing is that you keep making choices that lead to healing and spiritual growth! Click here to read the rest of my letter about making the choices that help you grow spiritually… |
