2019 PDC Conference Trains Pastors to Reach the Unreached Every year Pastor Rick hosts a conference where he trains pastors how to build a healthy church. Why does he do this? Because the best way to reach the unreached is to strengthen churches—especially churches located near the unreached. When you train a pastor, your spiritual investment grows exponentially as they minister to their community and then teach those people to go out and share the Gospel with people living nearby.
This June, 506 churches, representing 39 countries, attended the 2019 Purpose Driven Church Conference at Saddleback’s Lake Forest campus. At the conference, Pastor Rick taught the biblical principles of healthy church growth from his book: The Purpose Driven Church. These churches learned to reach new people for Christ by balancing the five purposes of the church.
Pastor Rick also shared the 14-year journey of the Rwandan people to build the world’s first purpose driven nation. As people from around the world have watched Rwanda’s journey from afar, many leaders from Asian and Latin American countries reached out to Pastor Rick and asked to become purpose driven nations like Rwanda. In response, this August, Pastor Rick traveled to Costa Rica and trained thousands of South American pastors in the Purpose Driven Strategy. We can’t wait to see how God uses these pastors to reach people with the Good News about Jesus.
