juonec4dmodels.poster@blogger.com, Just before Jesus went to the cross, he gave his disciples some critical last-minute instructions ... “Live in me, and I will live in you. A branch cannot produce any fruit by itself. It has to stay attached to the vine. In the same way, you cannot produce fruit unless you live in me” (John 15:4 GW). Jesus says that being spiritually connected with him is like being attached to a vine. You’re not going to have any fruitfulness or productivity in your life if you’re out there on your own. You have to stay connected to him and other believers. What kind of fruit will you produce when you’re connected to God and the Body of Christ? The Apostle Paul calls it the fruit of the Spirit, which includes “love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, [and] self-control …” (Galatians 5:22-23a ESV). I don’t know about you, but I’d like to be more loving, more joyful, and more at peace regardless of my circumstances. I’d also like to be more kind to people who aren’t kind to me. I’d like to have more patience and be more faithful. I’d like to be gentle with others and have more self-control. This fruit of the Spirit is available to every believer in Jesus Christ. It’s the evidence that you are spiritually connected to him! But what if you’re not experiencing growth in these areas?
