You may have never thought of it like that before, but it simply means this: God speaks most clearly to those who decide in advance that they’re going to do whatever he asks them to do. He wants you to have the desire to communicate with him and to say, “God, you tell me what to do, and I’ll do it.” Once you decide you want to hear from God, it’s time to withdraw to a quiet place.
