juonec4dmodels.poster@blogger.com, One of my favorite things to do is sit and watch the sunrise from the grassy slope in my backyard. Almost 20 years ago, I put a deck chair out there. I think I bought the chair at Target, so it wasn’t expensive. It’s faded, and a couple of its slats are broken. But I love to sit in that ratty old chair and watch the sun come up. It gives me great pleasure! Would I experience any more joy watching the sunrise if I were sitting in a diamond-studded recliner instead of a ratty chair? No. It wouldn’t increase my joy one bit. In fact, there’s an advantage to not having an expensive luxury chair. Why? Because nobody will steal my ratty old deck chair! The secret of contentment is learning to enjoy what God has given us.
